Body found in May in trunk of burning car ID'd

PENN HILLS, Pa. — The body of a man found in May in the trunk of a burning car was identified Friday.

Through DNA and available information, the medical examiner’s office identified the victim as Deven Henry Clark, 32, of Pittsburgh. His official cause and manner of death are still pending.

The Penn Hills Fire Department was called to Jackson Alley around 1:15 a.m. on May 27 for a vehicle on fire. Once the fire was under control, Clark’s body was discovered.

Homicide detectives told Channel 11 News that the body was found wrapped in a sheet and bound with duct tape in the trunk of the car.

Authorities have yet to make any arrests in connection with Clark’s death.
